These data were processed by the GMRT team and by other members of the global mapping community, and full attribution of their efforts is provided in the GMRT metadata. GMRT now uses the GEBCO 2021 as its ocean basemap which increases the resolution of the basemap from 30 arcseconds (~1km, GEBCO 2014) to 15 arcseconds (~400m).Ĭurated multibeam data from 87 additional cruises was also added to the GMRT 4.0 release, bringing the area mapped in the multibeam component of GMRT to 10.3% of the ocean.
